Jester Estates is just off Hwy. 2222 and 360, two major west Austin highways that give access to downtown and the rest of the city. The neighborhood has many open spaces for running, biking, or walking among the Texas hills. The area is attractive to many because of its convenient location, open green spaces, and good views. Jester Hill is a centerpiece of the neighborhood and a popular place for residents to hike and bike. (It is about a four minute bike ride to the top). The neighborhood has other hiking and bike paths winding through the hills.
Shopping is convenient with Davenport Village and the Arboretum close to the neighborhood. Davenport Village has several local restaurants and a gym. The Arboretum is an outdoor shopping center containing many retail stores, supermarkets, and chain restaurants. There are also movie theaters, a bookstore, and cafes.
